    Hello!!!!

    Friday, April 6, 2007, 06:25 AM [General]

Hello to everyone on BowlSpace. Here is a little bit about myself.  I turned professional in bowling in 2005 after my "Claim to Fame" winning the 2005 BPAA Cadillac Shootout and $26,000. I qualified out of Al-Mar Lanes in Bowling Green, and won the Northwest District Tournament which was held at River City Bowl in Napoleon. That win earned me a spot in the National BPAA Cadillac Shootout held in Orlando, Florida. There were 10,000 bowlers that attempted to qualify in the Country in which only 42 advanced to Florida. The tournament format was a little different. The name of the game was to bowl your average or get as close as possible without going over. It was a three game tournament, the first game was get close to your average, winner received $1,000. The second game was to see how far over your average you could get, winner received $1,000. The third game was for all of the money, get your average or as close to your average as possible without going over. I averaged is 203 at the time, and started out slow with two opens, but threw a 4 bagger in the middle of the game. It came down to where I needed a strike and a spare in the tenth frame for a 202, to be 1 pin under my average, which would have put me in the lead. I struck on the first ball, then for my second shot in the tenth, I moved four boards left trying not to strike, hoping to leave something I could pick up, but the outcome was not what I wanted, threw a strike. Now in a very tough predicament, I now needed to get just one pin because I could not throw a gutter do to the rules, and if I get more than one pin, I was automatically out of contention. In the last ball of the tournament, I picked off just the ten pin to secure the win, and either a choice between a 2005 Cadillac CTS ($31,000) or $26,000. I took the money to help pay off college at Bowling Green State University.

Since then, I have had a struggle in regionals, but have one top 10 to my name. My biggest dream in life, is to win a PBA title. That would mean the world to me.
